This is a Ford Escape pack removed from the vehicle. This is an interesting pack. The blue straps seen on the sides are for crash protection.

Central Vermont Public Service PHEV installation

Here a high voltage connection being made inside the Toyota battery. The precharge resistor, current sensor and contactors are visible. Proper saftey procedures are important. The oarange gloves are a precaution, no voltage is present at these connections.

Hybrid Fest 7/07

Pat Cadam and Nick Rothman installed a PHEV system in front of an eager crowd at Hybrid Fest 07’ in Madison Wisconsin. This vehicle is Part of the Wisconsin Public Power Inc. (WPPI) vehicle fleet.
